Earlier this week, it was reported the rap superstar had ordered the lavish meal from a takeaway in Newport for a banquet. The food is said to have been flown from Heathrow to New York yesterday, but a spokesman for Kanye dismissed the reports, insisting his client is filming in Los Angeles. The British Raj restaurant, in Rogerstone, was understood to have received the curry request from representatives of the rapper.
The fax reads: "Shaun Jackson is meeting Kanye West and his people for dinner to discuss his coming to the UK in the near future, 1st of June to be exact." However, Jackson's business partner Allan Shepard has moved to explain the story, suggesting there are no plans to actually meet the star. "It's no big thing really.
My company does a lot of events for celebrities. Shaun Jackson is going out to meet with Kanye's people. "I don't know where that came from that it was with Kanye", commented Shepard.
