Fox.com cited sources Saturday as saying Dupri was paying the price for disappointing sales of Jackson's new CD "20 Y.O.
," the last album on her Virgin contract. Dupri got a chunk of the credit for Mariah Carey's monster comeback album "The Emancipation of Mimi," but the plan to cast Jackson, 40, as a hip-hop artist failed to register with the teenage market, Fox.com said.
Virgin boss Jason Flom has cleared the decks for an overhaul of the urban music department, the report said.
