OC Auto Show: Suzuki "Hip Hop" Grand Vitara - Autoblog

Come on guys? Taking a Grand Vitara and letting some graffiti artists tag it isn't that impressive. But we know there are some of you who love this stuff, and the work was kind of cool, so here it is.

In all fairness, Suzuki made sure we knew it wasn't just a paint job. Follow the jump for another pic and the stats on this rolling mix stand.

Here's a rundown of features on the "Hip Hop" Grand Vitara:

Guess they ran out of clever lines like "Viva Vitara". 2. It's amazing what they can do with a Saturn VUE nowadays.

Don't dismiss this as a popcorn fart - this is a huge bowel movement and not in the bad sense!!!

Suzuki needs to get urban. It's going to start with trial and error, but if you look up "Polar Opposite" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of a Hayabusa on one end and a picture of a Swift on the other. Suzuki cars needs to increase its brand strength and if a cheesy graffiti layden Samurai on steroids is the first step, well then I say it's a GOOD first step!

5. THE CAR MAY BE "TAGGED", BUT IN MY BOOK, THIS CAR IS NOT "IT" -- I read that it is a good vehicle, but I am trying to get over the egos of the Pidgen English speakers who chose this pretentious name. Maybe they thought it sounded like "grand viagra".

If Suzuki want's to make it's cars and SUVs more appealing they needs to produce more desireable products. Staging silly stunts like this graffiti Vitara won't cut it. Here is also a news flash for Suzuki there are many African Americans like myself who find graffiti vile and disgusting.

It has no place on buildings, subway trains, stations, or cars. 10. This is Soooooooooo commercial!

Real Hip-Hop culture people wont even touch this thing.

Can I just ask how many african-americans would drive this when they all push benzs and beamers not trying to be racist but this seems like theyre marketing this towards the urban crowd.
