Launches Her to the Top

But the Barbados-singer has found she needs to reassure her fans that music will always be her number one passion - despite her recent move into movies.
Rihanna, 18, who will make her big screen debut in the cheerleading movie "Bring It On: All Or Nothing", says she wants to follow in the footsteps of her idols and Whitney Houston.
"Movies are something I'd like to think about too; something for the future. There's a whole new world for me out there now, though nothing will take over from my music.
I just want to keep working and stay creative.
"Whatever lies ahead of me is fate. I am just going to take each day as it comes and enjoy it.
"
But hopefully she won't follow all of the footsteps of Whitney Houston. Rihanna, who sang on Whitney's "For The Love Of You", is horrified by recent reports of her idol's descent into a life of drink and drugs, and she has determined to learn from Houston's mistakes and remain true to herself.
She says, "I love Whitney Houston.
She is a big idol of mine and so influential. Seeing how things can go wrong when you seem to have everything is educational."
"Whitney has made some of the greatest songs ever.
I don't want what's happened to her to happen to me and that's why I don't take fame too seriously."
