Now that The White Stripes have a new record label, they need a new record for it to release. Well, apparently they do.
According to a February-closing post on the White Stripes , they've completed recording and mixing their sixth album, Icky Thump.

It's the duo's first LP to include a title track, and it seems that title was taken from a 1975 episode of the hilarious British comedy series, The Goodies. On the show, however, it was spelled Ecky Thump.
Icky Thump was recorded at Nashville's Blackbird Studio in a session that lasted almost three weeks, the longest amount of time that the band have ever spent on an album.

Some of the songs include "Catch Hell Blues," "Little Cream Soda," "Rag And Bone" and "You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)." The post says that "Monkeys Have It Easy" has been discarded and "Clicky Bump" has been "retitled into something pleasant."
"We are doing our best (whatever that is) to release the album as soon as corporately possible," assure Jack and Meg White.

"And though we are tired, worn, weary, hungry, cold, and left without an ounce of nutrition amongst ourselves, we are in the midst of planning performance type shows aroundst the world."
The site features a clip of the former husband and wife in the studio recording "I'm Slowly Turning Into You," though "the actual music has been replaced with mid eighties sampling keyboard technology to prevent what industry analysts are now calling 'song poaching.'" And Meg is dancing around while wearing a skeleton costume.

Icky Thump will be the Stripes' first album for Warner Bros. They became free agents earlier this year after V2 Records decided to get out of the rock 'n' roll business.
The White Stripes will the Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 17.
