MONTREAL (CP) - Troubled publishing heiress Anne-Marie Peladeau was sentenced Thursday to two years' probation on charges of theft, obstruction of justice and attempting to obstruct justice.
She was also ordered to finish her therapy to deal with her drug addiction in a timely fashion. Peladeau, who is in her early 40s, is the daughter of the late Pierre Peladeau, founder of the Quebecor publishing and broadcasting empire.


She pleaded guilty last October to four theft charges, one charge of obstruction of justice and one count of attempting to obstruct justice.
Peladeau and her boyfriend were charged after a high-speed police chase following a robbery in Montreal in October 2005. The police officers involved have been charged with assault, but were countersuing Peladeau.
