Beck hosted Rosenberg to discuss briefing of White House, "a number of congressional leaders and Homeland Security, Pentagon [officials]" about "end of days scenarios"
On the October 18 edition of his CNN Headline News program, interviewed Christian author Joel C. Rosenberg about what Rosenberg claimed are his visits "a number of congressional leaders and Homeland Security, Pentagon [officials] about my novels, which are based on Bible prophecy." Rosenberg later added that "the question congressional officials is, Are you saying that the Bible talks about an alliance between Iran, Russia, and a group of Middle Eastern countries at some point? And the answer is yes." As Media Matters for America has noted, and August, respectively, to tout his prediction that the escalated violence between Israel and Hezbollah was evidence that the Apocalypse was nigh.

Joel, I read this in, I think it was Rolling Stone magazine, and they re trying to -- you know, they re trying to say, "Oh, look, he s being controlled by the Bible." Does the president believe these are the end of days?
I ve -- I did speak at a White House Bible study. It was actually last year. I ve spoken to a number of congressional leaders and Homeland Security, Pentagon about my novels, that -- which are based on Bible prophecy.

The word Russia is never used in the Bible. Persia is the name for Iran, and you have to do some modern times. And I do that in the book.

easy,hes jewish.christians have the book of john,who,on an interesting note,theological scholars argue my have plagerized from the book of enoch.who was shown armegeddon 500 years before john.
and lets not forget the "revelation of paul".yes it exists,its part of the apocrapha,and for you catholics,your not allowed to read it.interestingly enough,the revelation of paul is better written in detail than the book of john,but the niacene council decided to stick with the book of john due to its imagery.

but when religious prophecies reach the White House and the halls of Congress then that is a sad commentary on what is supposed to be the most enlightened nation on earth. To borrow a phrase from Bill O'Reilly, what we need are more "secular progressives" in charge.

If you hit it hard enough and often enough, it appears to fit. It's a common practice among these troglodyte seers as well as phony psychics like Jean Dixon. It's also been used to wow the gullible in showing how "accurate" the predictions of Nostradamus are.
The scariest part is that there are more than a handful of our national leaders who give credence to this fairy tale nonsense.

Really? Five minutes of research and I turned up two historical items.
First, the Shah's father came to power after a coup he headed while commanding a Russian-trained Cossack styled military unit.
Second, Iran was a primary conduit used by the Allies to supply the USSR during WWII.
These are just from the 20th century.
I'm sure those of you who know more about world history can share other, earlier examples. After all, the two countries are just
