No news might be good news for blues-hungry music fans in Thunder Bay.
Bob Halvorsen, general manager of the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, said Thursday there's a strong possibility the event might not be cancelled after all. But, he cautioned, there's no guarantees it will go ahead.

'We have started putting some of the pieces together that are necessary to run this thing in terms of sponsors and volunteers and those types of things. And we have made some inquiries to agents to book some bands,' Halvorsen said.
Concert website Pollstar has The Smokin' Joe Kubek Band, featuring Bnois King listed as playing Marina Park on Sunday, July 8, as well as a listing for the Blues Festival itself.

Halvorsen said sometimes bands will jump the gun to promote where they're touring.
