spazz, lack of interest, man is the bastard, crossed out, hellnation, powerviolence in general. 31 songs total and only one of them is over a minute. the other 30 are short chaotic blasts of disasterous musical destruction.
One of the few bands currently playing "powerviolence" that are worth a shit. These dudes aren't at all new to the punk HC music scene. Oddly enough, from michigan, despite playing the "west coast powerviolence" sound to a T.
Comprised of members from Threatener, Knee Deep in Shit and probably way more.
The brainiacs seem to have an extreme liking for star wars, and powerviolence. As they often reference both.
Even the cover art; which depicts Greedo getting blasted ala Crossed Out. And a MITB border and logo stylings substituting Chewbacca heads in for the bastard skulls.
For playing such ugly and harsh noise they still have a positive message or two.
None of which you can decipher without the lyric jacket. The lyrics are well written and are much more than just frantic shouts that accompany the wall of hectic sound. Numerous songs cover straight edge, and no, this shit ain't anything like FIRESTORM.
"I'm standing tall for the guys who've been through it all. I know the deal, I'm keeping it "real." I don't have to X up at shows, to prove what I already know.
none of your trends mean shit to me. i'm not here to kick anyones ass. im here to play real fast, run in a circle, what a blast!
"
So far all they have are this EP and a split with florida's No Comply. But also have plans for numerous upcoming releases. I can only hope this band keeps blasting well into the apocalypse.
