The Chris Jones Group is sponsoring its annual 12th Night Charity Ball attended by business and community leaders for the past several years. Usually more than 200 people attend the event, which raises money for A Child's Hope Foundation.
A Child's Hope Foundation was established to provide safe, healthy, short-term homes for orphaned and abandoned children while helping them be adopted into loving adoptive families.
They have built an orphanage in Haiti and are in the process of building one in Tijuana, Mexico.
The 12th Night is Saturday at the Apollo Theater in American Fork, 50 E. 50 North, from 6:30-9:30 p.
m.
There will be a live big band, The Music Makers, dancing, chocolate fountains, Miss Utah and a few other dignitaries.
The free event is open to the public.
Raffles, dances with Miss Utah and other activities will be sold as part of the fundraiser at the event.
Monday through Thursday, the Eagle Mountain Public Works Department will pick up and dispose of Christmas trees. Simply place your tree on the curb and the department employees will haul it off free of charge.
Robbie Robertson is presenting "What do I do when marriage and finances are upside down?" from 7-8 p.m.
today at the Lehi City Hall, 153 N. 100 East. Robertson is an investment adviser representative, teaches courses in retirement and estate planning at the American College, and is a Lehi Chamber of Commerce board member.
The free workshop is sponsored by the Lehi Community Council and is one of a series held the first Friday of every month. The next workshop is titled "Marriage Triage -- Feeding a Starved Marriage" on Feb. 2.

BFI will pick up Christmas trees curbside on Wednesday. Trees must be cut into 4-foot sections and placed on the curb by Tuesday.
No ornaments, lights or flocking can be left on trees for recycling. If a tree is flocked, it can be cut up and placed in a trash can for regular trash pickup. Trees may also be taken to the Public Works Complex at 946 W.
Center St. from 7 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Allied Waste has announced pickup for Christmas trees will be Jan. 17, 18 and 19. The company asks that all trees be on the curb on Jan.
16. Trees must be free of flocking and ornaments. Additionally, it asks that trees be cut in half, if possible, so they can be recycled.
