Yesterday And Today formed in the 70s in the San Francisco Bay area of California; Their name was taken from the classic Beatles record of the same name. Their first album is straight ahead rock n roll at it's finest.
Later they changed their name to Y and T and produced a Killer of an album in EARTHSHAKER.
If you don't own it - Please do yourself a favor - go buy it!
This particular recording takes place in 1974, at the Record Plant in California; it is an FM radio broadcast..
. you must hear the classic "Alcohol" if nothing else!
Here's some great Live Progressive Metal/Hard Rock from the Band.
.. ANGEL!
ANGEL was supposedly the antithesis of KISS - though brought to you by the same record label, Casablanca. According to legend, Gene Simmons (KISS) saw ANGEL playing in a small music club in L.A.
, told Neil Bogart(RIP) Casablanca Records Head, and Bogart signed them on the spot...
creating an image to go along with the band. The best thing about ANGEL, in my opinion, is Barry Brandt - the drummer! But most girls back then went for pretty boy Punky Meadows of the infamous song "Punky's Whips" as performed by Frank Zappa.
ANGEL has an officially released live CD - LIVE WITHOUT A NET, if you can find it, go buy it!
What I have for you is a radio broadcast from 1976..
. It's only 3 songs, about 20 mins., but the quality is excellent!
Recorded in L.A. by King Bisquit Flower Hour.
