Published February 22nd, 2007 in , , , , Well, the Chinese New Year (Year of the Pig) is in full swing, and I ve finally found some events in Perth worth blogging about! It s still not much though and very late notice!
On Friday (tomorrow, from 10am to 3pm) and Saturday (from 10am to 6pm) the Chung Wah Association has organised a Charity Chinese New Year Carnival!


There will be a lion dance, martial arts presentation, Chinese costume catwalk, ethnic cultural dance and ballroom and contemporary dance performances.
There will also be cultural food and beverages, market stalls and activities for children.
All profits of this carnival go to Day Long Respite Care Centre.

Apparently there are going to be fireworks around Burswood on Sunday night from about 9pm, for about 15 mins. This is not confirmed on any website I can find, so don t just take my word for it!

Update: I emailed Town of Vic Park and they confirmed there will be fireworks for about 15 mins between 9.15 and 9.45pm on Sunday!
