Playstation 3 owners will have something other than Virtua Fighter 5 to choose from this week as Sony will be releasing two new titles for their online service and a relic from the past in demo form.

The long awaited aquatic enigma will be making its way to the Playstation Network with a price tag of $7.99. Joining it will be the perpetually-hopping, foul mouthed, not to mention known as Q-Bert.

We may not have anything nice to say about the guy, but his game is a classic and will be available for $4.99.

And in case you passed it up at launch, a free demo of Ridge Racer 7 will be made available and capable of that magical resolution of 1080p.

Microsoft must be running low on original ideas as this week, Absolutely Nothing is making its way to the Xbox Live Arcade. As a sequel to the critically panned , you would think that Microsoft would wise up and stop trying to shove this property down our throats.

Alas, in a week that has given us the likes of New Adventure Island and Streets of Rage for , and FlOw for the Playstation Network, Microsoft will be delivering Absolutely Nothing to your Xbox 360 this Wednesday.

It's not very funny, is it? Someone should have told the folks over at the mouthpiece that before they whipped up the above, coincidentally, just after pulling their entry declaring that Xbox Live Arcade fans are shafted for the week.

Okay, it's kind of funny, but we're still not laughing. Neither sarcasm nor (who, last we checked, was ) can shed a positive light on yet another week of disappointment for Microsoft's download service.

Do us a favor.

The next time you don't have anything to offer, just give it to us straight. Don't play cute about failing to meet the demands of your audience for the umpteenth time.

[Update - The aforementioned entry at the Gamerscore Blog is back up, and it is!

[Thanks, Ben!]

It's the 10 year anniversary for Konami's legendary series of rhythm titles and you know what that means!

More sequels! Okay, so they're not doing much out of the ordinary aside from some choice merchandising opportunities, but if you're a Bemani fan, sequels to your favorite series are about all could ask for at this point.

Bemanistyle attended AOU this weekend to check out of assembly line titles in Beatmania IIDX 14: Gold (featuring ), GitaDora V4 and the all-star of the bunch, Pop'n Music 15: Adventure.

Yes, it took fifteen sequels but we finally get character previews in Pop'n Music. Whose to say they don't work hard for the money now?

A few of the artists were on-hand, conducting interviews and generally fawning to their audience.

Also making an appearance was Dance Dance Revolution Supernova 2, albeit in poster-form only.

Rare is in good company these days.

As a part of Microsoft Games Studios, they exist under the same umbrella as Bungie -- another studio that loves to be elusive. This of course means that if they let out so much as a squeak, we listen. GameTrailers with one of the crafty devils (Concept Artist, Ryan Stevenson) recently to talk about everything Rare.

Banjo Kazooie 3 in particular.

If you enjoyed previous entries in the saga there will be plenty for you to love on your 360 as Stevenson says "It's still the same characters and the same thing. It's a game for the people who appreciated the game years ago and also for new people that are coming to the 360.

"

A hint concerning the main villain of the series, Grundy, is also dropped and the drama makes a special guest appearance. Stevenson gives the most rational idea for the infamously dropped Banjo-Tooie feature in that it was probably just a really bad idea. We, however, still believe.

Mountain Dew and Red Bull just isn't enough for today's serious gamers. Now they need specially marketed energy supplements to keep them in the fragging zone.

Enter Uncommon Loot and ; the candy bar specifically created for gamers.

With 100 mg of Guarana, Headshot could pack a serious punch considering that your average bottle of has approximately 80mg of everyone's favorite nervous system stimulant. Uncommon Loot will be releasing the product to gaming centers first and will eventually make it available on their website.

We'll be sure to bring word of Headshot again after the first professional gamer is kicked out of competition for crushing and snorting his candy bar.

They may not be saying just what the "X" button does yet, but Bungie has a list of some of the most asked questions concerning the upcoming Halo 3 beta.

Can you blow stuff up with your laser? Totally. Will parties and matchmaking work in the beta?

You better believe it. It also includes a bit of rumor debunking as it confirms, once again, that you won't be playing Halo 3 come the release of next week.

So exactly when will you be getting your hands on the shiny new Spartan toys?

They're still not saying, nor are they talking about the length of the beta beyond "for a limited time only."

Namco has unveiled the arcade version of at Japan's AOU 2007 coin-op exhibition, along with a new website.

The new page features a of the new fighter, several screenshots (available below for your convenience) and wallpaper of the two new characters: Leo and Zafina.

It's difficult to comb much information from the trailer concerning the newcomers to the series, but from the looks of it, Namco is set to challenge the throne of Itagaki when it comes to underage heartthrobs with Leo. Zafina, on the other hand, is a Latina woman of the mature persuasion who looks to possess a highly unorthodox fighting style.

Joining them thus far are old favorites Asuka, Jack, Brian Fury, King and Dragunov, though the cast will naturally swell as time goes on.

Though it is quite early (and due for a 2007 release, according to the trailer), Tekken 6 appears to be around the same level of visual quality as last years Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. While one can argue that even Tekken 5 wasn't a graphical leap beyond Tekken 4, we're keeping our fingers crossed for some serious upgrades.
