Alta Sierra developer Jack Kirby returned to the Alta Sierra Country Club for his recent book signing. Kirby's book, "A California Entrepreneur," tells of his 60-year career, both the successes and the failures. He was raised during the depression, became a star football athlete at the University of Southern California and later played professionally with the Washington Redskins and the Green Bay Packers.
He then had a long career in sales and marketing, especially in land development. He was involved in the developing of Alta Sierra and Tahoe Donner in the Truckee area.
