Authorities say the two suspects shot the 24-year old trooper Saturday during a traffic stop. While Jenks was trying to get them out of the car, he was shot twice - at least once in the head. Jenks body was later found on the side of the road by hunters.
The two suspects , 17 year-old Alejandro Guana and 19 year-old Orlando Garcia were transported to the Tipton County Jail from Nashville about seven o clock Sunday evening.
Authorities would not talk about what charges the men would face but sources say the charges could come between Monday and Wednesday.
Garcia will stay housed at Tipton County Jail, but the juvenile Guana will be moved the Memphis Juvenile Center after the TBI questions him.
The murder of Jenks has shocked the community and those that worked with him.
"We know it can happen at any time, we don t want it to, and its very difficult. Its difficult for the family.
He is family," says Mike Walker, Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Jenks was a newlywed. He and his wife were married just two months ago.
