Down on the set of Dallas, the much anticipated - it says here - big screen remake of the classic - it says here - American soap, things aren t good.
In fact, snigger, you could say that oil s not well. Well, you could say that, but then we d have to hit you.
A few months ago, original director Robert Legally Blonde Luketic quit, citing creative differences - a euphemism, probably, for really crap script - and the fact that he was unhappy over certain casting choices.
Now Jennifer Lopez, probably the film s most bankable asset - with the emphasis on the first syllable, obviously - has walked as well.
The curvy one was set to play Sue Ellen, the famously drunken wife of JR, to be played in this film by famous face-stuffer John Travolta (who currently appears to be preparing for the title role in the Eamon Holmes biopic).
Travolta is still in, ditto Shirley MacLaine as Miss Ellie and Luke Wilson as Bobby Ewing.
But J-Lo is a no show.
Her departure has also sparked rumours that she may be pregnant. The singer/actress/perfume saleswoman has often spoken of her desire to have kids with husband, singer Marc Anthony.
When asked, Lopez s representative, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, ignored the baby rumours but confirmed that she is out of Dallas . Of course we re only assuming she means the film. Maybe she was just discussing her employer s travel arrangements?
