The pair, whose reputations have been tainted by enduring accusations of drug use, plan to make a commitment to each another in mid-January coinciding with Kate s 33rd birthday.
According to the Daily Express, the Babyshambles singer is understood to have got Kate to say yes to his proposal after vowing to battle his heroin addiction.
The paper claims that best friend Sadie Frost, her daughter Lila Grace and Pete s sisters AmyJo and Emily will be bridesmaids.
Sir Elton John, Sir Richard Branson, Jude Law, Jade Jagger and rock band Keane are expected to be on the guest list. And Doherty has apparently made up with former best friend, singer Carl Barat, 28, and asked him to be his best man.
George Michael was arrested on a drug-related charge and given a warning by London police after a traffic incident early Sunday involving the 43-year-old singer.
