LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- A car bought by Elvis Presley for his grandfather and step-grandmother is getting a makeover after years in a garage in Valley Station, Ky.
The Louisville Courier-Journal reported that the white-over-mist-blue 1957 Ford Fairlane is getting completely made over except for the car s original steering wheel and mirror.
"I finally found somebody that would come to my garage and paint it," said Charles Burney, who bought the car with his father in 1982.
The Courier-Journal reported that for a long time, many were skeptical of the authenticity of the car, but the dealer is sure it s a real Elvis car.
"Believe me, it s legit," Tobby Riggs, of Riggs Motor Co., the dealer who sold the car to Presley.
