Last night, Monday, was girl's night out. Doesn't happen often but my girlfriend and I pick a restaurant and go out to dinner together (no, no bars, no dancing men, just good talk).
Last evening we picked the new Persian restaurank Kuluk at Commercial Blvd.
and University Drive. My friend called to be sure they'd be open on Monday night (a hard time to find an open place) and got assurances, Yes, yes, we are always open.
We each drove from our places of work in rush hour traffic.
I arrived first to hear booming Middle Eastern music pouring out of the place. Wonderful, I thought. Until I got to the door, and it was locked.
The two women inside looked up when I pulled on the door then looked away. And I saw the sign on the door, Closed Monday. How annoying.
Guess there was some mis-communication on the phone.
I want to go back and try the place. It looks pretty and has a nice vibe.
But it will have to wait for another girl's night out. My husband just isn't that adventurous.
