Lyn Davison told her playing partners, Skeeta Archer and Bob Ramsay to lift up their skirts and get on with the game. The thought of those two, so different in height in skirts was too much to bear. However, Yowie (Darren Yeo) managed to take a swing at the golf ball and missed it as it fell off backwards!
Drinks all round Yowie. It was also the Elvis Presley weekend and Bob Fuller had to come out along as Pearl had gone to the Leagues Club to thoroughly enjoy the music. You are only second choice Bob!
Now to some results. There were only two ladies but Margaret Hogan won with 31 points plus taking out the nearest the pin on the 1st. Lyn Davison won the 4th and 11th and also the bunny award.
For the gents, Brian Hogan had 49 points and Peter Picker 48. Bob Fuller had nearest the pin on the 4th, Skeeta Archer on the 11th and Rob Rea won the lucky card draw. I had better mention Rob Rea's eagle some where out there.
Not sure which hole. He was doing a bit of skyting when he came in. Yesterday would have been a 4BBB with trophies from the club and next Sunday is the stroke, monthly award and putting competition sponsored by the Parkes Leagues Club.
With the volunteer help we made it through the night especially those working over the stove, Roger Larsen, Joe Goodie and Liz Matthews. Bob Ramsay has a fondness for a tree on the 7th. His team mates warned him about it but he still ran into it and bumped his head.
He then had a second go despite yells from Skeeta and then lo and behold he heads for the same tree on the 8th! On a more serious note we wish Tracy Dumesny all the best as she had a nasty accident involving her eyes. Who is going to greet us on a Sunday, Trace?
