After weeks of speculation and rumors, preliminary details for the 2007 Coachella Valley Music Arts Festival in Indio have been announced. This year's Coachella, held at the Empire Polo Field, will be expanded to three days for the first time. Icelandic singer Bjork will headline on April 27, the Red Hot Chili Peppers top the lineup on April 28, and a reunited Rage Against the Machine performs on April 29.

Each of the acts has headlined previous editions of the festival. Among the more intriguing acts on the weekend bill are The Arcade Fire; Ghostface Killah; Satellite Party, featuring Perry Farrell; Jarvis Cocker of Pulp; The Good, The Bad and The Queen (the new project from Blur/Gorillaz mainman Damon Albarn and Paul Simonon of The Clash); Travis; Arctic Monkeys; Willie Nelson; Air; and The Decemberists. Both Crowded House and Happy Mondays have re-formed after a lengthy hiatus.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through all Ticketmaster outlets.

General admission tickets are $249 for a three-day pass. A limited amount of single-day tickets will be available for $85 (in other words, you need to buy them this weekend). Prices do not include service charges.

Camping passes are $45 for four nights and go on sale Saturday for ages 18 and over. Additional information on lodging and other details can be found at www.coachella.
