Oh boy !! Blogging has become once a month thing for me.
I ve been really busy lately. We ve got some breathing time now, hence this post. 
I had my mid-terms.
I did okay. More than the marks (which are not yet out) , I like the fact that I am enjoying almost all the subjects of the first term. Seniors had tried to drill their experiences into us, but as always, that doesn t work for me :-).
Managerial accounting, which most people are dreaded of, is interesting. Economics, I had always liked and surprise, surprise, I also find myself reading research papers (sometimes) on Organisation Behaviour which is generally considered a globe subject. Of course, the IIML logo ( globe ) is always a thing to laugh about.
I am doing well on my personal goals, as I listed down . I have been selected into both - The entrepreneurship cell of IIML and 3.4 - the music club.
I have big plans for both and also for Bhavishya - the social initiative. I had an interesting interview for bhavishya though. I ended up saying - everyone wants to do planning when it comes to social work, but not many people would actually get their hands dirty.
The panel obviously tried to give their point of view on how planning is essential and all. No regrets though. I m sure I will be contributing to their work, member or not.
Gave quite a few presentations in the last one and half months and there is less of a stage fright now. By the year end, I want to be able to address an auditorium full of strangers with full confidence. It will happen and I know it.
Created a cyberstore with exactly the design that I wanted. Of course I had to learn CSS, and AJAX for that. It was an assignment and I m sure that noone in my batch is better than me as far as awareness of current software development tools and technologies is concerned.
I mean, Slashdot is still my morning diet. 
And we had a great trip to nainital. There were 11 of us and it was great fun.

Life here is great. I m doing a lot of things and doing them well as I promised myself.
For example, we just finished our 3.4 music practice session 2 hours ago (3:30 AM in moning !!
). There re lot of interesting things lined up ahead. Stay tuned !
Reporting a little late but we performed in Parichay 2006 at IIM Lucknow. It s the event where the fresher batch introduces itself to the IIML community on campus including faculty and their families, administration staff and seniors. Our batch gave excellent cultural performances including salsa, bhangra, light music and skits etc.
We had a western music band which we christened as Hellraisers . We played the regular stuff; Floyd, Metallica and Ozzy. But the speed with which our vocalists, drummer and bassist came upto speed in this, was amazing.
We re gonna have an awesome time here together. Here s the team snap:
