comTom Tykwer (posted by Demetris Christodoulides)Forum topic posted at scorereviews.comI am looking for more info on the composer, from people who have heard his previous works. All i know is his magnificently blend along with the Arvo Part piano compositions for his film strong HEAVEN /strong .

br / br / And of course, strong PERFUME /strong . br / br / Speaking of which: br / br / strong Perfume - The Story of a Murderer /strong - Original Soundtrack composed by strong Tom Tykwer, Johnny Klimer Reinhold Heil . /strong br / br / em Performed by Berlin Philharmonic with Sir Simon Rattle.

/em br / br / Despite what's already been said about the score being a Baroque-rip off, banal and Zimmer-wanna be, and while these are clearly a matter of personal taste, I still think that the afore-mentioned characterizations are out of place, in my opinion. The trio of composers - which I strongly believe was led by Tom Tywker (of the HEAVEN fame) for this score - really surprised me with this one and their collaboration seems to evolve into a guarantee of quality. Imposingly dark and awe-inspiring, this pompous orchestral score is deep covered in an enchantingly mysterious atmosphere that I hardly understand how someone can remain unmoved by it.

While heavily classical in nature, the constantly heady and haunting but also elegantly melodic character of the score is impressively dressed with early classical elements and where it really hits the spot is at the beautiful solo vocal and choral work, some of the most notable you'll hear in an original score this year. Not to be missed.http://www.

com(Hopefully) more adventures for Clint Mansell (posted by Demetris Christodoulides)Forum topic posted at scorereviews.comDarren Aronofsky Directing strong Black Swan /strong . br / br / em .

..has just signed up for a new project: Black Swan.

And it sounds, well, it sounds very different. The psychological thriller centres on a manipulative relationship between a veteran dancer and their rival. Now, we've not generally seen the words "psychological thriller" and "dancer" used in the same sentence, so we're really hoping we might be in for some sinister pirouetting and a possible cha-cha to-the-death.

comGentleman...

(posted by Justin Boggan)Forum topic posted at scorereviews.comDavid Ogdan Steirs, who played Charles Emerson Winchester III on strong "M*A*S*H" /strong , has co-scored strong "One Child in Many" /strong (with HenryMollicone.com).

br / br / Now, I know he loves classical music in real life ad conducts orchestras to lure people in, and also looksl ike strong John Williams /strong from 20 years ago, but I didn't know he did this. br / br / The film, produced by Kaja Zaloudek, doesn't have an IMDB page, and only the same reference comes up in Google, so I don't know the year. I presume it's a new film.

comProducer/Director/Wirter of the show strong "Scrubs" /strong said the show is coming back for a seventh seasin (in a recent mini-interview article). br / Very strong strong NBC /strong will keep it, but he said in the off chance they don't, strong ABC /strong will grab it up. br / br / But the best part: br / Lawrence also says that the show would not continue without star Zach Braff, but he "feels pretty good" that Braff is on board for a seventh and final season.

br / br / Also, they are -- for those not reading up on the news -- killing someone off. br / I hope it's J.D.
