Even though he s only just signed the deal to let him play football in LA, David Beckham isn t short of a famous Hollywood friend or two - and if Michael Jackson gets his way he ll be right up there with Tom Cruise deep in David Beckham s inner circle.
OK, that s not strictly true - Michael Jackson has no interest in being friends with David Beckham; he s just after some of the Beckham millions. Reports are suggesting that Michael Jackson has offered to sell his broken-down Neverland ranch to David Beckham and his wife Victoria for the knock-down price of $10 million.
And if Neverland alone isn t enough to convince the Beckhams to buy his old house, Michael Jackson may have also strongly hinted that there ll be all the Jesus Juice that David Beckham can drink and a gigantic stash of pretty fruity pornography hidden in the attic waiting for whoever decides to snap up Neverland.
When football team last week, he can t have fully expected what would become of him. LA is hardly rain-stabbed Manchester or culture-drenched Madrid, so a step into LA would be a step into the unknown for him.
Maybe Americans wouldn t be as ready to buy bottles of as his British fans, or let him star in as many mental adverts as his Asian fans. Luckily, though, to start a new adventure, and what an adventure it is.
As well as the near-inevitable switch to Scientology - and a stint - David Beckham has already received an offer he can t refuse from the King Of Pop Michael Jackson.
Or an offer he s about to refuse as strongly as he can; Michael Jackson wants David Beckham to buy his old house Neverland, as The Sun reports:
Michael Jackson is trying to flog his Neverland ranch to Posh and Becks for 10million. Cash-strapped Jacko is desperate to sell the 2,800-acre spread, which has fallen into disrepair. And the 48-year-old fallen idol, who fled the property 18 months ago after being cleared of child abuse, has instructed agents to discreetly hand the details to Posh.
No wonder Michael Jackson is so keen to offload Neverland to the first new millionaire in town - as well as a to pay for, Michael Jackson s financial troubles are well-documented. Within the last year alone because they weren t getting paid, because he wasn t getting paid and the legal bills from will also have been a strain on his cash-flow. And don t come cheap, you know.
However, it s thought that David and Victoria Beckham are going to turn Michael Jackson s offer down. Ostensibly this is because Neverland is 150 miles away from David Beckham s new training ground, although we have a feeling that David Beckham didn t want to buy Neverland because of all the and everywhere, along with the sneaking suspicion that he might be sleeping in the place where that cancer victim said Michael Jackson wanked him off.
