What s your favorite book? Why?
Gone With The Wind – it takes you on a historical journey with romance, war, and a lot of drama.
If you could do anything for a profession, what would it be?
If, and only if, professional softball players were paid well (which they are not), that is what I would want to do.
If you could share a meal or discussion with any historical figure, whom would it be and why?
If I could go back in time and have a discussion with a historical figure, I would have to sit down with Hitler when he was younger and try to talk some sense into him. I was a history major for my undergrad and, as such, cannot pick just one historical figure. I would also want to have a discussion with Louis and Clark after their trek across America and hear their stories firsthand.
What s the one bit of advice you ve gotten in life that s been of most value?
While life is the longest venture everyone will take part in, it is indeed too short. As such – don’t sweat the small stuff.
What s one thing about you that surprises people?
I could cook three huge meals every day because I love cooking. I considered going to culinary school at one point in my life.
People are also often surprised to hear that my Master’s degree was in Sport Management.
What was your favorite subject in school? Why?
Throughout grade school, I loved band. I am definitely a band geek! I play the flute, piccolo, tenor sax, I sing, and play a little bit of guitar.
What genre(s) of music do you enjoy? Do you like to dance?
I have an appreciation for all types of music.
I love swing music, rap, the current top hits, classical, and absolutely, with a passion, I love country music. Swing dancing is where it is!
