Davidson 11 strokes off the lead

As he tees off today in Vero Beach, Fla., Matt Davidson's golf cup is half full and half empty.
the Grey Goose Gateway Tour, Beach Winter Series, Davidson had shot 70-71--141, leaving him three strokes under par.

Under most circumstances, being 3-under would make his cup The field at the Hammrock Creek Golf Club, however, is tearing up the course, so 3-under puts Davidson in a tie for 27th place, 11 strokes off the lead. That makes his cup half empty going into today's third and final round.
For Davidson, the 1999 Mercer County scholastic champion out of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, this is his third Gateway event of the year.

In the previous two, he won a total of $2,869.50, which ranks him No.
