Arizona's collector-car auction season get under way this week with five major auction events, dominated by the massive Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. Barrett-Jackson is first up, opening to the public Monday for Family Value Day. Held before the actual auctioneering gets started, the special day presents an affordable way to experience the auction, see all of the nearly 1,200 collector cars and myriad vendors, and enjoy all the offerings at the sprawling event.

And don't forget the new Rock 'n' Roll Memorabilia Auction that begins at 3 p.m., with such items as John Lennon's piano and guitars owned and played by musicians, including Bill Haley and Johnny Cash.
