New York, Nov.

21 (ANI): Singer Jon Bon Jovi reportedly snubbed former King of Pop Michael Jackson at last week’s World Music Awards by deciding not to present the latter the Diamond Award that he had won last year. Insiders say that since Bon Jovi "didn't want to share the stage with Jackson,” Beyoncé was chosen for the purpose of honoring him with the prize. Backstage sources said that "nobody wanted to present him with the award" because of the stigma of his child molestation trial.

Bon Jovi’s representatives however said that the singer did not receive any invitation from the organisers to attend the World Music Award ceremony. "An invitation to attend and/or present at the World Music Awards was not received," a representative for him was quoted by the New York Daily News. Sources also said that Jackson was reluctant to come out of his room, because of which Beyonce had to go in to persuade him to come onstage.

Due to this delay, Beyonce reportedly missed her flight home, and she had to borrow the jet of a local billionaire for the trans-Atlantic trip.
