Pop star Ricky Martin has hit out at press for criticizing Madonna's adoption of 13-month-old DAVID BANDA, insisting she's an exemplary mother and an inspiration for others thinking of adoption - including him, says The Associated Press.
The Latino singer, who is an ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), is desperate to be a dad and can't understand why the MUSIC hitmaker's moves to adopt in has caused such outrage.
Ricky Martin says, I know Madonna as a mother, and she's exemplary.

The love she gives her kids is a dream, and I know that her heart is big enough to adopt not just one child but to adopt 20. On his own aspirations to adopt, he says, I don't know when, but right now I am sponsoring three children in India and we have a very beautiful connection.
Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie were granted interim adoption of David Banda last week.
