Manny Legace made 24 saves as the resurgent St Louis Blues won for the eighth time in 11 games, upsetting the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in East Rutherford.

Dallas Drake scored what turned out to be the game-winner for the Blues, which would be the final goal of the game at 9:35 of the second period.
John Madden opened the scoring for the Devils at 4:23 of the opening period, but Keith Tkachuk tied the game with his 13th goal of the season six minutes later.
New Jersey went ahead again on Brian Gionta's marker just 19 seconds into the second period, but Dan Hinote got that goal back at 2:32 to again tie the score, setting up Drake's winner.

Barrett Jackman assisted on the final two St Louis goals.

Crosby was held without a point for just the second time in the last 14 games for the Penguins, who lost their third straight game.
