BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Walt Disney Records releases the highly anticipated soundtrack to the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In! on January 9, 2007.
The CD features 13 all-new songs, each part of the new music genre dubbed pop-hop for its blend of pop and hip-hop music styles. The songs are performed Records' recording artists Jordan Pruitt and Jeannie Ortega, Drew Seeley and more. "Push It to the Limit," the lead track from the Jump In!
album, also will be featured on Corbin Bleu's debut album Another Side, available on Hollywood Records April 17, 2007. The Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In! revolves around Izzy neighborhood as a promising young pugilist.
His neighbor Mary (Palmer) is the determined leader of the Joy Jumpers, a four-girl double dutch team still trying to make its mark in the tournament world. When one of the Joy Jumpers defects to a rival crew, the team begs Izzy to take her place at the upcoming citywide finals. As surprised as anyone to discover he has a penchant for double dutch, Izzy is terrified of being ridiculed by his peers and, more importantly, dashing his father's hopes of raising a boxing champion.
When word gets out that Izzy secretly has been practicing with Mary and her teammates, he finally must choose destiny. The film premieres on Disney Channel Friday, January 12, 2007 (8:00 p.m.
