So Jodhpur is done. We went to the big fort there..
.Meranghar or something like that. We took the audio guide and it was fantastic!
The whole castle just came to life! You could imagine everything as if it were hundreds of years ago. Then we went back down and demanded that Raj take us out to eat, so we went to Jodhpur Coffee House, where Raj and I worked on the crossword puzzle.
And oh yeah, we stayed up till 11 last night doing the same thing. It's becoming a tradition. Speaking of Raj, today he told us he's married!
He got married about a month ago, but he didn't tell us! Raj is our tour guide and all-around hero, I say. He makes things SOOO much easier for us.
We don't even have to think about how we're getting to our guesthouse or worry about catching buses or trains. He just gives us times to meet and off we go! I'm very glad I booked this tour.
It's a vacation, but it's not stressful. It's very relaxed.
So today was a bus ride to Udaipur (where we are now).
It was about 6 hours. The first 3 hours of the trip were dreadful. It was so bumpy.
I can't even explain how bumpy it was. It was like the biggest potholed street in the world, but we drove on it for about 3 hours at aboug 50mph. Like your brain was in a blender on frappee.
And then add in swerving cows and passing trucks and stuff...
eek. I worked on a su-doku puzzle for a while, cuz there was no crossword, but I had to give up and just listen to music. So we arrived in Udaipur and had lunch, and now I'm killing time with Carrie, my new roomie, before meeting up with the group for a wander and some Rajasthani dance show.
And someone is playing Bob Marley out in the street. Hmmm. Anyways, gotta run.
