Britney Spears rang in the New Year at club PURE in Las Vegas, only to wind up collapsing onstage. "Lifestyles of the Rich Famous" host and reporter Robin Leach of Luxe Life, an online Vegas pop blog recorded the incident as it occured: ..
"just 50-minutes into the New Year -- at exactly 12:50AM -- that she collapsed and was dramatically carried out of the club hidden under a hooded black poncho behind a screen of 12 burly bodyguard bouncers.."
More in the ongoing saga of the "return to glory" for Britney Spears' and her camp of handlers.
Spears, like her new nemesis Paris Hilton who was in Australia, was paid hefty coin to "host" a soiree at Pure in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, to ring in 2007.
Also seen celebrating with Britney were Marlan Williams, NBA retired player Julius Irving and poker pro Chris Ferguson. Rocker Dave Navarro, who hosted a New Year's event at a club in Treasure Island, was also seen.
Perez Hilton reported that Britney "nibbled on Kobe beef burgers, lobster curry salad and chicken fried rice before heading down to Pure."
Leach also reported that Shannon Elizabeth, Jesse Metcalfe were in a neighboring VIP cabana bed and said hello with hugs to Britney.
Britney had been reported earlier at the JackRabbit nightclub in Scottsdale with Paris Hilton's former squeeze, footballer Matt Leinart.
No Leinart sightings occured in Vegas.
Leach reported that Britney yelled to her club crowd: "What happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas" and after the countdown she wished everybody a Happy New Year, before she fainted and was whisked away. Shortly before this appeared on M C I read a somewhat more detailed account of the event.
It wasn't pretty.
Ms. Spears is firmly establishing herself as a sloppy mess.
Kevin Federline long ago established himself as completely useless. The best hope at this point is for someone with influence and a sensible head on their shoulders to get those children away from both of them and into capable hands.
