When the big stars are in town, there's only one picture they want to have taken...

MEETING the Godfather of Soul James Brown for his last ever Scottish interview is a legendary moment for the Razz. The interview was almost called off because Mr Brown (who insisted on being addressed formally) had undergone intensive dental treatment. He and manager Mr Bobbit finally agreed to a chat before taking to the stage, with Mr Brown still in his rollers.

He told us: "I want to be remembered as someone who helped people."
WESTLIFE are always real gents when the Razz meets them. The boys cropped up during the year at radio events and gigs.

The Razz met them at Clyde 1, during a promotional tour for their Love album, when they told us they'd love to collaborate with Take that or 5ive.
DANNII Minogue made a secret trip to Scotland to play at a party hosted by Tulloch Homes owner David Sutherland. In an exclusive interview, Dannii said she planned to spend Christmas with Kylie.

She also sang some new songs at Glasgow's Radisson Hotel. BEV couldn't believe her luck when Simon Cowell's group Il Divo asked her to join them on tour in Las Vegas. The popera group were in fine voice as they took over the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

THE Fratellis and the View were still on the underground scene when Bev and Cath caught up with them at a C4 party early in the year. Jon, Mince and Baz were in relaxed mood. Later in the year, for their album launch, the Razz joined them at Culcreuch Castle, in Fintry to party.

EMBRACE gave us a great interview when they turned up for Rock Against Racism at Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms. Danny McNamara said he couldn't wait to get into DJing and hoped to return to Scotland's clubs soon. He also revealed his longterm heart condition.

BEV couldn't believe her luck when Simon Cowell's group Il Divo asked her to join them on tour in Las Vegas. The popera group were in fine voice as they took over the Mandalay Bay Hotel. They said they couldn't wait to do the same at Edinburgh Castle.

RADIO 1's Big Weekend in Dundee was a real winner. Bands like Muse, Snow Patrol, Pink and The Sugababes were on the bill but the big surprise was when Franz Ferdinand played a last minute spot. The Razz also caught up with Radio 1's Ferne Cotton.

GIRLS Aloud always had time for a chat with the Razz. We met the girls at various events over the year but most recently at Edinburgh's Forth Awards where Cheryl exclusively told us she was being stalked and Sarah Harding said she fancied Paolo Nutini.
T in the Park 2006 was a huge success as we mingled with bands like The Feeling, Corinne Bailey Rae, Sandi Thom, The Magic Numbers and Lily Allen.

It was a great year for other Scots festivals too, including Indian Summer and Belladrum.
CATH was more than chuffed when she got hold of the elusive Pete Doherty. Pete kept failing to turn up at gigs he'd booked with his band Babyshambles, but finally, in May, he made it to Glasgow's Barrowland.

FATBOY Slim's gig at Loch Ness was one of the best dance events of 2006. Fatboy, aka Norman Cook, met up with DJ pals, including Mylo, who told Razz he wanted to recreate Rock Ness on Skye.
LA Fashion Week's Dressed to Kilt event was a real tartan affair.

Bev rubbed shoulders with big names like Ashley Jensen, Pussycat Doll Carmeet, Patricia Arquette, Martin Compston and Jack McConnell.
IT was an amazing year for Paisley's Paolo Nutini as he took the world by storm. We watched as he kicked off Radio One's Big Weekend at Camperdown Park before selling out headline gigs around the UK.

This pic was taken at the Nordoff Robbins Music Awards.
