My first contact with progressive rock started long time ago. My father had some albums we can call progressive, like the late BEATLES albums. So, after a long time hearing these albums and very bad songs in Brazilian radios (even the good new ones they didn't play), I luckily found in a CD store near my house some CDs costing R$3,00 (approx US$ 1.

00) with songs from seventies and eighties. Generally those CDs were compilations, so I've bought some and found new good bands. In the middle of those CDs, I found one MARILLION, one HAWKWIND, compilations with ATOMIC ROOSTER, URIAH HEEP and other Hard Rock bands.

After that, I started to search for another progressive and hard rock bands and I found used vinyl very cheap. So, since them, I started a great collection of progressive rock. I'm not sure, but I think that I have between 300 and 400 original progressive CDs and vynils.

Unfortunately it's very difficult and expensive to get modern progressive material, but I'm not a "stuck in the 70's" progressive fan.
