Progressive rock was already playing a significant role when I started to buy albums of my own in 1986. I became a MARILLION 'fan' but quite soon I concentrated on the classic era of prog. My biggest favourites were/are GENESIS, YES, PINK FLOYD, CAMEL, RENAISSANCE, MOODY BLUES, some of King Crimson.

.. (and Kate Bush and Jane Siberry).

During the nineties I focused more on other fields, from New Age to jazz and entertainment vocal music. Classical music has always been daily present and maybe in the end it's the most important genre for me. Almost any genre - except rap and metal - can please me.

Of rock music that I listen, it's over 70% prog or prog-related. I think rock in general was better in '67-'77. I have selected the albums to review (from hundreds of albums I've heard) with an eye on the amount of previous reviews, mostly avoiding the ones with over a dozen.

I was more active PA reviewer between April and autumn of 2005, but I keep visiting the Archives. I hope my reviews are useful, at least I enjoy writing them.
