Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is on the slow road to recovery after returning home from hospital Tuesday.
Cech underwent emergency surgery on Oct. 15 after fracturing his skull in a collision with Reading's Stephen Hunt during an English Premiership soccer game.

Medical specialists have suggested Cech could be sidelined for up to six months, but Chelsea is more optimistic about his return date.
"It is standard medical practice to allow three months for a fracture to the skull to repair fully and that is the time scale we are all working to for a return to full training," the club said in a released statement.
Chelsea is in the midst of a major goalkeeping crisis.

Both Cech, their starting goalkeeper, and their backup, Italian Carlo Cudicini, were injured in Chelsea's 1-0 win over Reading.
