Last Friday night I saw play at the Colchester Hippodrome. He played a set of four songs: The first song I did not recognise; song number two was American Pie by Don McClean; song three was Imagine by John Lennon; song four was The One and Only, which is Chesney s most famous song by a country mile.
I went with my sister, for her sake, as she s been a huge Chesney Hawkes fan since 1991 when she fell in love with that song and saw the film Buddy s Song.

Overall it was not a bad night - we arrived around 11.30 PM and Chesney s bit was from around 1AM til about 20 past. We got a taxi home a little after 2AM.

The Hippodrome was - as ever - filled with young teens (barely legal) and a few slutty older women - plus the chancer guys one expects. on Thursday, 23rd November, 2006 at 21:51 and is filed under . You can follow any responses to this entry through the feed.
