There is no surprise that Hugo Chavez is re-elected for the next term with 61.35 of the vote as reported by . The US supported candidate Rosales was not match to Hugo Chavez popularity and the support of the poor people of Venezuela which get him re-elected.
The people who had posted comments on my Hugo Chavez I believe were all supporting Rosales and the people living in US really did not carefully analyze the election campaign. Rosales really don t had a clear plan for Venezuela what he promised that he will not change Hugo Chavez social policies. Why would Venezuelans elect Rosales as their leader when he agree with Hugo Chavez social policies.
The Western Media will keep criticising Hugo Chavez without acknowledging the good he is doing for the poor people of Venezuela and keep calling him the dictator after winning another election with convincing majority. Hugo Chavez one big achievement is providing the free health care for all Venezuelans and when compared with US health system where more than 50 million poor people have no health insurance which means no health care. Hugo Chavez other achievement is better peaceful relationships with the neighboring countries and the world which clearly make him more successful leader and diplomat than George W.
Bush. The average person can tell that Hugo Chavez is very intelligent politician and George W. Bush is complete idiot who only knows the dirty politics of lies and deceptions and who really has no idea with diplomacy means when it comes to international relations.
The truth is people of the World really don t know much about Venezuela including me and it is Hugo Chavez who has make Venezuela the key player in the region as well as in the world with very intelligently developing diplomatic and economic relations with China Russia Middle East and Latin America.
Hugo Chavez must now thank the poor people of Venezuela and start implementing his social policies. Start with improving the law and order situation in Caracas.
Start government housing project for the poor and provide them cheap housing. There was one more problem which was pointed out by one who is living in Venezuela that the electricity supply is interrupted frequently. Venezuela government now has the huge budget surplus and Nuclear Electric power plant is the answer to solve the electricity problem.
The poor people of Venezuela will keep re-electing Hugo Chavez if he keep working to improve their lives without paying attention to Western Media propaganda.
All my information regarding Venezuela is from the various reports and news which I read on the Internet. The reports and news never painted Hugo Chavez as the pure devil and remember these reports did praised him for improving the lives of poor in Venezuela and I remember the numbers quoted by one of the report were really impressive that during his tenure the poverty rate has drop to 34% from 44%.
The report also give credit to Hugo Chavez for providing free health care for Venezuelan.
I am open minded person who is for the governments which promise to improve the lives of poor people instead of working with the well connected rich elites of the country. You mentioned Fidel Castro which according to Western media is the cause of all sufferings of Cubans is not proved right when investigated.
The Cubans poor suffer because of US embargo isolating the country using their power in UN. There was report published by Forbes that Fidel Castro personal wealth is over 900 million dollars in foreign banks. Fidel Castro speak for hours and hours regarding this accusation and what did he said I really don t know but the conclusion of his speech was that he will resign if they prove that he had any foreign bank account with one dollar.
The purpose of mentioning this here is that the Western News media are always busy with their propaganda which makes up the minds of majority of people. Hugo Chavez policies has changed the lives of Cubans for better with his economic and social relationship. The lives of Cubans is becoming better where they have more money in their pockets and more stuff to buy for their daily needs.
The other example of this kind of propaganda is Kim Jong Il who in the west is known as some kind of mentally unstable crazy person. The truth if you analyze the North Korea situation is that the country s poor are suffering are due to US sanctions. Kim Jong Il is more sane than George W.
Bush who know the consequences of starting a military conflict with South Korea and his threats are simply to seek the attention of international community so he can get some favors.
Democracy is good and dictatorship is evil maybe the good slogan for US but in reality people really don t care much what kind of government they have as long as they have security and financial stability. The US has adopted the policies since the very beginning which do not have tolerance for any government which are critical to their policies.
Lets leave out the colonial oppression of Europe and jump to the Western Democratic governments which did conquer African, Asian and Latin American countries with their military power and kept them under their oppressive rule recently. US had find a new enemy communism after the WWII and they started to resist this evil form of government all around the world. Fidel Castro did not invaded any sovereign nation as the evil dictator it was the US democracy which get involved in bloody wars in the name of protecting their way of lives killings millions of innocent people in Vietnam, Korea, Nicaragua, Panama and now in Afghanistan and Iraq.
I believe that it is not the responsibility of US and its European allies to invade country for regime change. The people of the country can and they have the capability and the power to topple down any evil dictator of their country. Why Fidel Castro is still in power?
The answer to this question is that because he had the support of Cubans and that is why there is no real opposition build up against his government. Saddam Hussein who take control of the Iraq government which was supported by US government and CIA hold on to power because Iraqis never reached to the point where they believe they can t live under his rule. Iraqis could have bring his government down with the resistance which we are witnessing against the superpower US but they were living their lives in peace with financial difficulties and that too were due to US sanctions.
Hugo Chavez has started common socialists reforms which are spreading in Latin America like wild fire with Nicaragua, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador has leftist governments developing close relationship with neighboring country which will bring financial stability for the common people. Hugo Chavez is the fresh breeze which will shape Latin America very differently in a better way.
Hugo Chavez has to implement tough policies to fight the increasing crimes in Caracas and had to start projects which benefits poor people.
Hugo Chavez if really don t know that crime and housing are the main grievances of poor people than he is as much disconnected with reality as George W. Bush. Hugo Chavez cannot claim to be the leader of poor if he really don t know their problems.

It is Hugo Chavez which had started this revolution in Latin America and he is very successful in developing close diplomatic and economic ties within the region.
Look at the Latin American government now. Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua and the latest very unexpected victory of Correa is the clear evidence of Latin Americans are so fed-up with the corrupt politicians that they are going for common socialists rulers.
